Absztrakt

It is profoundly important to examine and look after our historical past, to preserve and communicate our values, which provide a strong foundation for education and research in the 21st century, both at a scientific and international level. The centenary commemoration is also important because it allows us to pause for a moment and look back on our past in order to shape our future. The pages of the history of the University of Szeged are those that mark the most important stages and milestones of our memory. In connection with the centenary of the University of Szeged, it is worth noting that on October 9, 1922, it was 100 years ago that Rector Gáspár Menyhárth ceremoniously opened the first academic year of the Ferencz József University of Science in Szeged. This study serves as a useful addition to the history of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Szeged. It provides insight into the process of transformation and reorganization that took place 100 years ago, amid the circumstances of turbulent times.
