Az ESG és a greenwashing összefüggései: Hogyan kapcsolódnak egymáshoz?

Absztrakt

Az ESG, mint beszámolási keretrendszer egyre nagyobb szerepet kap a vállalatok fenntarthatósági és társadalmi felelősségvállalási stratégiáiban, azonban az ESG-elvek gyakorlati megvalósítása számos kihívással jár, többek között a mérhetőség, a transzparencia és a hitelesség területén. A vállalatoknak egyensúlyt kell találniuk a pénzügyi teljesítmény és a fenntarthatósági célok között, miközben meg kell hogy feleljenek a befektetői és szabályozói elvárásoknak. Az ESG beszámoló elkészítése a vállalatokat fenntarthatóbb és etikusabb döntések meghozatalára ösztönzik, ami hosszú távú nyereségességhez és sikerhez vezethet. Az egyik legnagyobb problémát a greenwashing, vagyis a fenntarthatósági állítások félrevezető alkalmazása jelenti. Ez a kutatás az ESG-jelentéseket és a greenwashing közötti összefüggéseket vizsgálja, olyan tényezőkre összpontosítva, mint a jogszabályozási nyomás, az érdekelt felek elvárásai és az iparági verseny. A friss kutatásokra támaszkodva vizsgálom, hogy a vállalatok hogyan hozhatnak nyilvánosságra célzottan rájuk vonatkozó kedvező információkat, hogyan hangsúlyozhatnak környezetvédelmi kezdeményezéseket a hírnévszerzésük érdekében. A vállalatok számára a megoldás a valódi fenntarthatósági intézkedések bevezetése és a nyílt kommunikáció lehet. A transzparens ESG-stratégia és az elkötelezett vállalatirányítás nemcsak a greenwashing kockázatát csökkenti, hanem hosszú távon versenyelőnyt is jelenthet.
