The purpose of this study is to explore lecturers’ opinion on institutional regulations facilitating academic requirements, which elite athletes need to fulfil, and the feasibility thereof. Data were collected by means of online questionnaires via Evasys among lecturers at the University of Debrecen. Lecturers from 15 different majors who may have some sort of relationship with elite athletes having participated in the previous study were considered as part of the pattern. 190 lecturers were chosen randomly for the study; the respond rate was 23%. Based on the results it can be concluded that the majority of the lecturers do not know the elite athletes studying in the institution, however, they agree with institutional regulations aimed at facilitating academic requirements.
