Absztrakt

Since the 1970s the analysis of organizational culture and its connection to performance has been being a constantly current area in management literature. Researchers have developed several approaches to the concept of culture; one of the most popular scientifically grounded is the Competing Values Framework (CVF). This model was the basis of the Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) introduced by Cameron and Quinn. The current paper presents the results of an organizational culture survey via OCAI at a plastics industry medium enterprise in the Northern Great Plain Region, Hungary. The perceived and the preferred cultures are identified, as well as the presence of a subculture in the production function and the negative connections between the years of service and the cultural perceptions and fitness.
