Absztrakt
This study examines the training and competition characteristics of team and individual sports from a sport-pedagogical perspective. It is based on a narrative review of the literature, synthesizing national and international sources. The novelty of the research lies in its focus on the educational dimension of coaching, illustrating how sport contributes to personality development, autonomy, resilience, and social skill acquisition. In individual sports, particular emphasis is placed on self-regulation, mental preparation, and emotion regulation, whereas in team sports the pedagogical support of cooperation, team cohesion, and collective decision-making comes to the fore. The comparison of training and competition highlights the importance of developing decision-making skills, cognitive flexibility, and mental training, as well as the sport-pedagogical significance of pre-start states and competitive anxiety. The study offers practical recommendations for coaches to create inclusive, safe, and reflective learning environments.
