Absztrakt
Manapság a fogfehérítés nagy divatját éli, különösen a fiatalok körében. A professzionális és az otthon alkalmazható technikákra egyaránt elmondható, hogy a hidrogén peroxid oxidáló hatásán alapulnak, és többségük a fogzománcban lévő pigmentsejteket kisebb molekulákra bontják, így érik el fehérítő hatásukat. A helytelenül alkalmazott, vagy nem ellenőrzött forrásból származó fogfehérítő szereknek azonban lehetnek mellékhatásaik is, ilyen a fogzománc károsodása, íny sérülése vagy visszahúzódása, fogérzékenység. Ezek elkerülésére fontos ezen eljárások szakszerű alkalmazása, ellenőrzött termékek használata, így nem csak a fogak lesznek szebbek, hanem a mosoly is vonzóbbá válik, és nem utolsó sorban az önbizalom is nő.
