Abstract

The subject of our study is the survey of customers' habits in groceries of M.I.T. Hungária Kft. in Szentes. These groceries are all traditional small shops. In our research we applied a questionnaire survey in which we reached 298 customers. We examined their shopping habits, motivation, features, the conditions of their shopping, its frequency and quantity and other features, too. The customers go to these groceries on a daily basis or more times a week, besides, they spend 500-1 000 HUF in each case. The most important factors for them are the kind service, shop assistants and the proximity of the shops. They expressed their high satisfaction in each questions on their satisfaction. Most of them choose another shop because of its wider range of goods and sales so it would be worth to communicate the sales for customers in a better way, since it turned out from the analysis that those who are informed about sales tend to choose the given shop.
