Abstract

The abnormal operation of rotating machines is most often caused by balance error or misalignment. These faults can cause overloading of the shafts, bearings and couplings. In addition to part damage, extra energy consumption due to increased load should be considered. The topicality of the article is due to the complex machines and their high maintenance costs. In this paper, the power absorbed is measured with various couplings in addition to errors on a special equipment. Misalignments can also be easily detected by vibration measurement, and spectra from vibration measurement are tested according to ISO 10816.
