Absztrakt

In the 2012 National Curriculum all the recommended thematics and contents under the Modern Foreign Language requirement have connections to other subject areas (e.g., mathematics, arts, environmental studies). This opens up the possibility for Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), which is an important new approach in foreign language teaching. CLIL is an approach, which teaches certain subjects - other than foreign language - of the school curriculum in the second language. Thus far this method has mainly been used in bilingual schools or education programs; this study, however, examines the applicabil-ity of CLIL in foreign language teaching in the elementary school setting.
