Absztrakt

We can agree with the researchers, who state that the negative impact of
unemployment on individuals' quality of life is far beyond the economic effects
that are caused by the loss of a job. In fact, several studies have shown that nonpecuniary
consequences are more significant than the effects strictly financial in
nature. Keeping all this in mind it can be stated that there is a causal relationship
between unemployment and the individual's perception of their quality of life. In
addition to confirming this general connection, in our study about the Northern Great Plain Region we also tried to answer the question, which of the many facets of well-being has particularly strong connection with the perceptions of the respondents regarding their well-being. The results of our study clearly show that the impact on the personal aspects of quality of life (such as physical and mental health) in this region can be clearly demonstrated. However, the assumption that unemployment has an impact on the opinions regarding the place of residence was not justified.
