Absztrakt

Lecturers and managers of the currently changing higher education experience these changes, challenges of the everyday work in different ways. The tasks of the academic sphere has changed in the past couple of years, it has become more complex and variable than it was ever before. How can the lecturers keep up with these changes? How can they live with the changes? What kind of leaders are those managers who used to be lecturers? We were looking for the answers inter alia to the above questions during the interviews in this research. Its background history was a questionnaire research involving French and Hungarian lecturers and tutors about their subjective well-being in 2014 (N = 251). In nutshell the pre-conclusion could be described as in there are professional high level institutional strategies being created in order to changes the current main paradigm, but the realization on the operational level is very slow, because certain psychological and empirical factors cannot be foreseen, and the leaders do not usually take them into account.
