Because of the different economic and infrastructural level of development of hungarian regions, restore of health status of population living in each region also require different financial expenditures from the each households like from general government that provide finance of patient care. Several researches support that the healthy nutrition is an effective prevention method, which reflected in the food consumption too. In my paper I intend to examine that whether and if so yes, how far the price and income elasticity of food consumption explains the value of all health care expenditures per capita in certain regions and in comparison between those, furthermore whether the regional nature of food consumption increases the extent of regional health expenditure or not, compared to region where health status of population is the best.
