Absztrakt

After 1918 wide range of land reforms were implemented in East-Central and Southeast Europe in order to restructure the system of landed property and to provide land for the peasants. The objective of my essay – behind the evaluation of the introduced land reforms in the Central, Eastern and Southeastern European countries – is to analyze its concrete effects and consequences on the agriculture. I will focus on the evaluation of agrarian reforms, which were implemented in six countries of the region (Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Poland). Because of limited extent I wouldn’t like to deal with the main factors, which determined the backwardness of the agriculture in the region, such as the overpopulation of the agrarian sector, its low internal capital accumulation and income production capacity and finally the lack of technical-technological modernization.
