Absztrakt

2015 Hungary last underground coal mines have been closed, which could cause the extinction of the profession. The Márkushegy miners were among a few people whose ancestors had not worked in the mines. Thus, a real miner society grew to be open since the 1810s. The closure affects 536 people, although a few years ago, 2000 people worked in the mines. The closure, so that not only the profession, but also the lives of other people define. The miners must decide whether or begin a new life and they fall out of date or stay there, hope, and somehow try to survive. The research will examine the evolution of the situation and opportunities in the mining society, which can provide a solution to resolve the situation.
