Abstract
The article presents current international challenges in social work based on insights from two professional conferences held in 2025. It highlights the social impacts of global crises—climate change, wars and economic instability—the rise of anti-democratic tendencies, and the declining professional recognition of social work. It also underscores the relevance of decolonization and the growing crisis in workforce renewal.
