Abstract

In the Kádár‐era not only the explicitly political samizdat media counted as provocation to the system, but also those publications of a fundamentally artistic nature whose aesthetic program was not compatible with the ideological norms of the time. My paper analyzes the connections, communication and network‐like functioning of artistic and political samizdat. It also examines how aesthetic transgression is related to a possible rearrangement of the political map.
