Singing – how? Basic knowledge of phonation for teachers

Abstract

The voice is a tool that teachers use every day. When voice production is not done properly— whether in speech or singing—the vocal cords become strained and various difficulties can arise. In order to produce sound correctly, it is useful to know the basics of voice production, because with conscious effort we can easily prevent many problems, thus preserving one of the most important tools for teachers: the speaking voice.
