Abstract

Drama pedagogy is a highly promising approach to foreign language teaching and learn-ing as it stimulates creativity, imagination and communication in a meaningful context. In Hungary more and more language teachers use drama methods and techniques in teach-ing new vocabulary but I strongly believe that these are also suitable to aquire new grammar structures. I am giving practical examples of drama games which can be used in language classes to practise three tenses, the Present Simple, the Present Continuous and the Past Simple tense. I am also presenting a micro survey to prove their effectiveness in my language groups.
