Abstract

As a result of the digital information era the reading acquisition has been transformed. Students nowadays - due to this interactive, accelerated world that surrounds them - find difficult to create texts on their own. From time to time, reading for them is difficult too. There are several areas where the presence of a school library has an impact, including students' reading habits or use of materials for non -school - related activities. By using new pedagogical tools and methods, we can constructively help the positive outcome of the process. This article introduces the pedagogical use of Japanese Paper Theatre and Design books as a successful example of how important the school library can be in the development of a reading culture. School libraries appear as a supportive environment. Through the adherent lesson plan library teachers are enriched by innovative ideas and methodological solutions.
