Abstract
The assessment of physical activity has become a much-researched field of domestic and international scientific life. The drive behind the increase of interest is the emerging negative consequences that physical inactivity cause. In the development of various types of deseases including coronary, tumour, locomotor or psychic disorders, one of the key risc factors is the low level of physical activity. Emphasizing the relation between physical activity and a healthy fitness is a constantly discussed matter among health and sports experts as well as political decision makers. Students of the Faculty of Education for Children and Special Educational Needs at the University of Debrecen are going to work in fields where they will play a key role in educating young children for a healthy way of life – they will become nursery school teachers, infant and child development specialists or special needs teachers. In the process of mapping students’ motives concerning physical activity, we can learn not only about the order of motive factors but the analysis of factors influencing the different age groups
