Absztrakt

In the history of the Southern Land, László Gulyás (drawing on the work of Miroslav Hroch) has established a multidimensional perspective in his analysis of the peculiarities of the emergence and transformation of nation-states.1 Here, starting from the Gulyás-Hroch model, and supplementing it with a few additional elements, we seek to reinterpret the key moments of state and nation-building, taking into account the changes that have taken place in the so-called form-historical dimension of social organisation.
