A digitális pénzügyi fejlettség alakulása az Európai Unióban

Abstract

Currently, the development of ICT affects the financial sector as well. Internet banking has become more and more prevalent during the last years, and FinTech features may also influence financial sector stability. This paper aims at mapping digital financial development in the European Union based on selected indicators of internet usage. The paper tries to contribute to previous literature primarily with a comparison of regional data for 2016 and 2011. One of the main results of factor analyses based on the selected indicators is that the digital development difference between Hungarian regions and other similar European Union regions has become smaller between 2011 and 2016.
