Main Article Content
Abstract
In our study, we recommend one of Ervin Lázár’s fairy tales (The Blue and the Yellow) for processing with children of preschool age. We will show where professional thinking currently stands regarding the literary fairy tale genre, what place our chosen fairy tale occupies in Lázár Ervin’s fairy tale universe, and what ensures its acceptability for children of preschool age. We talk about the helpful and developing effect of listening to stories on children’s abilities and their whole lives, as well as the special possibilities that storytelling with paper theater brings in this field, and how it enriches the methodological culture of storytelling in kindergarten. We discuss how the drama game enriches kindergarten practice by making storytelling interactive, meeting the needs of newer generations. In the final chapter of our study, we describe an activity: the processing of the fairy tale Blue and Yellow using drama pedagogic methods and paper theatre.
