The reality of sex work

Abstract

My research aims to assess how much knowledge Hungarian people have about sex work; what they know about it, what feelings they have towards this service, and towards sex workers. At the same time, I am examining the perspective of sex workers, what their work entails, how they experience it, and what impact it has on their lives. To accomplish this, I conducted a questionnaire survey and interviewed two sex workers. That is why I titled my work “The Reality of Sex Work,” because the participants in sex work experience it differently: the reality is different for the clients, the “idle observer,” and the sex worker themselves.
