Abstract

The paper examines how history teaching was transformed immediately during the period of regime change. What were the joys and fears of the disintegration of the previous education system and the emergence of a more open, pluralistic world? This study seeks to follow up on the debates and prestige struggles that led to the birth of the first National Core Curriculum in this area.
