Abstract

Drawing on the conclusions of interdisciplinary approaches that have taken account of the printed press’ cultural, social, political and marketing interconnectedness, Focusing my analysis f on the Hungarian Bazaar that was edited by the Wohl-Sisters between 1873 and 1901, I study the mediator function of Hungarian fashion magazines from the end of the nineteenth century in the women’s movements, as well as their contribution to the emancipation and organization of women.
