Mária Joó, Eötvös Loránd University

JOÓ, MÁRIA habil. PhD is a retired associate professor from the Department of Philosophy, ELTE and affiliated member of TNT, Gender Studies Research Group, University of Szeged. She was educated in classical studies (Greek and Latin) and literature at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest and in philosophy at the University of Tübingen. She did post-graduate studies in phenomenology, hermeneutics and feminist philosophy in Wuppertal- Bochum, Germany as a scholarship holder. Some of her key publications include "The Second Sex in Hungary. Simone de Beauvoir and the (Post)-Socialist Condition."
