On the problem of globalization in contemporary German cultural-philosophical discourse Comments on the spatial poetic model by Peter Sloterdijk

Abstract

The aim of the study is to examine the contemporary globalization discourse by examining the theorem of the German cultural philosopher. Sloterdijk's spatial poetic models are analyzed in detail, whereby different aspects of globalization are assigned to the individual models. With the model of the globe, natural philosophical aspects of globalization are presented. The model of the container serves to assert the aspects of political philosophy. This model can make the perception of migration in the individual European countries transparent and explain the socio-psychological and historical fears of the European peoples. The Kristallpalast draws attention to the psyche of the individual and offers an analysis of an existential-philosophical character. The study concludes with an outlook of an existential philosophical character by recapitulating the anthropological views of Arnold Geheln and Martin Heidegger.
