Abstract

The relevant literature argues that the intertwining of sexuality and pedagogy can only occur in extreme (essentially scandalous) cases. Little is said about the positive, productive role of sexuality in pedagogical situations. In folktales, sexuality is presented as one of the most natural parts of life. In our research, we seek to answer the question: how is sexuality represented in the stories of 40 different peoples on six continents of the world? The aim of our research is to show the different ways in which sexuality is represented. We use qualitative content analysis as a research method. The results of the research shed light on the possibilities of approaching, expressing and representing sexuality from multiple perspectives.
