Abstract

In the KAPOCS group's research on reading habits of 10–18-year-olds, the focus was among others on changes in digital platform and device use. The questions and responses show that the consumption of online texts (not necessarily literature) has increased significantly in this age group; information gathering, social interaction, and activities are also taking place on digital platforms. We assume that this process has been reinforced by the physical confinement caused by Covid. Online education has significantly increased screen time. In this paper, we explore the emergence of these processes on the basis of questionnaires completed by primary and secondary school pupils.
